D.R. Homes, LLC has built over a hundred homes in Southern Arizona in the past three years. They bring a home-building concept developed from a combination of architectural design, value engineering and production management. The result is a home which has many of the design and construction features of custom built homes.

D. R. Homes, LLC, headed by Don Kunitz, is a family-owned business which includes the active participation of Don and his wife Kara.

Don received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Arizona graduating at the top of his class. After graduation, Don became the first graduate from the University Of Arizona, College Of Architecture to work for the prestigious and world-renowned architectural firm of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill in their Chicago, Illinois office. Don began his career in residential homebuilding in 1969 with the Perl-Mack Companies in Denver, Colorado, which was at that time the largest privately owned builder of single family homes in the country. Don continued with his career in homebuilding in Santa Fe and Farmington, New Mexico before returning to Tucson.

Kara has a finance degree from Baylor University and contributes to the marketing and internal business systems.

The company utilizes an advanced computer scheduling and tracking system to ensure each home meets the rigorous requirements set by D. R. Homes for the benefit of their homebuyers.
